So this is Christmas... Without realizing, the most magical time of the year is here once again!!! Remember to put up your Christmas tree with your favourite decorations: baubles, bells, candy canes, tinsel, lights and the star on top. And don´t forget to be good, Santa is watching!!!

JUNGLE FEVER

Today we have gone to see a play in English. It was titled "Jungle fever" by the company Face2Face. It was fantastic! It was about a jungle girl with a friend called Oscar Ostrich who went fishing one day and a lion stole their fish and...  Too much information... Why don´t you have a look at the photos to get an idea?

AUTUMN IS HERE

It doesn´t look like, but the autumn is here. You can see all its colours: brown, yellow, orange, red, ... You can feel it in the weather too: it´s usually cloudy, rainy and chillier. We need our jackets, boots and jumpers.  And we can enjoy jumping over a pile of leaves. It is great fun!!!

A RAINBOW WALK

Poor Steve! He was walking in the woods one day and suddenly he found himself in a place where everything was red, even himself! But as soon as he went on walking, everything turned orange and then green and then... That was crazy!!! Where was he?

THE COLOURS OF THE RAINBOW

Have you ever seen anything more beautiful than a rainbow? A little bit of rain and then a little bit of sun and ... magic! 7 colours in the sky! Yes, magic because you can find a treasure at the end of the rainbow: a pot of gold. But be careful because a cheeky leprechaun keeps it. Don´t you know what a leprechaun is? Let´s see:

If you see one, grab it and don´t let him go if you want his pot of gold. Remember this!!!

That´s why we bring a different snack from Monday to Thursday, leaving Friday as a free day to choose what you want to eat. Let me think: biscuits and cereals on Mondays, dairy products on Tuesdays, fruit on Wednesday and sandwich on Thursdays. Remember the importance of eating healthy for your body. After a long and warm summer, we are back and willing to learn lots of new things. I know we feel a bit lazy, but this will be solved in a few days. The worse part is to get up early, isn´t it? Today we are going on a picnic with Cookie. He has a picnic basket ready with all the stuff we can need: plates, serviettes, glasses and some food. Here is the menu: sandwiches, hamburgers, hot dogs, eggs, salad, chicken and some chips with ketchup, of course. And for dessert we have: apples, bananas, cherries, ice-cream, cheese, melon, biscuits, doughnuts and chocolate. Yummy! And the drinks: some water and milkshake. Good plan? Let´s go then.

I´ve aready told you that butterflies are one of my favourite insects. They are so lovely with their lively colours!!! Do you remember the life cycle of a butterfly?  We´ve learned it today at school. Remember the sequence:

IT´S SPRING TIME!!!

We are back again!!!  We have charged our batteries and ready to learn new things. It´s spring time!!! You can feel it in the air, in the flowers, in the weather, ... Well, maybe not in the weather because it is a bit crazy... typical of spring! As you know "April showers bring May flowers!!!" . Now it can be raining and 5 minutes later it can be sunny and then... a rainbow appears!!!

HAPPY EASTER

We have had a fantastic day at school today! It was our Easter party, so we went on an Easter egg hunt. We had to look for the eggs in the vegetal maze. They were under the trees, in the plants, among the leaves, ... It was great fun! And then we could eat a chocolate egg. Yummy!!!

Finally, we all marched in an Easter bonnet parade. You cannot imagine how amazing our hats were! Take a look and you will see...

PANCAKE DAY

Last Tuesday, it was Pancake Day in the UK. It´s a day to make and eat delicious pancakes. A pancake is a flat, thin cake made of flour, milk and eggs, similar to our "filloa". Britons eat them with sugar and a dash of fresh lemon juice. Yum!!!  They are not difficult to make, but the problem comes when you have to flip them over. Uppss!!! They can fall on the floor or, even worse, stick on the ceiling. Have a look...

TIME FOR CARNIVAL!!!

Now it´s time for Carnival! Time for masks, time for party blowers, time for streamers, time for fancy dress costumes, time for parties, ... time for fun! What are you going to dress up as? PEACE DAY

Every year, on the 30th of January, schools celebrate Peace Day. But what is peace? Peace is kissing, hugging, sharing, giving, helping, comforting, ... But peace is also a relaxing moment at our homes, isn´t it? At least, this is what daddy bear thinks. Listen to this story and you will understand what I´m saying: "Peace at last" by Jill Murphy. And remember that we all have peace in our fingers...

MORE SNOWMEN

There are many short films about snowmen. In all of them there is always a child who makes one and then he becomes a good friend of him. They are really tender. Here are some examples. I love snowmen, and you? I like making it with the snow and adding the complements: two stones for the eyes, a carrot as nose, 3 buttons, 2 sticks for the arms, a hat and a scarf. Learn this song and you will know how to make one.

A bit late, but winter is already here. You can notice it in the air: the trees have no leaves, it´s very cold and people walks well wrapped in their hats and scarves. But we can do many things during this season: we can play in the snow (not in Coruña, but near), make a snowman, go on a sledge, drink hot chocolate, ... Take a look...

WE ARE BACK!

Yes! A new year has just started and we are back to school again! Did you enjoy your holidays? Did Santa bring you many presents? Cookie has been very lucky and he´s got a British car, a set to play cricket and a teddy bear, the most famous one in England: Paddington Bear. Remember that he is a teddy who came from Peru . When he arrived to the train station in London, he waited there until a family took him with them. And now he lives in Windsor Gardens with the Browns. He is a good teddy but he easily gets into trouble... Have a look and you´ll understand what I´m saying...
