WINTER ACTIVITIES

Who´s  said that winter is not good for having fun? There are lots of activities you can do: skiing, go on a sledge, snowboarding, ice-skating, play ice hockey, ... But be careful... look at Steve and you will understand me.

WINTER ANIMALS

What do the animals do during the freezing winter? Some of them hibernate, others migrate to warmer places and a few of them have winter coats, warm enough to protect them. You can read all about this in the next book. Then you can watch the video to meet some winter animals? Take a look...

A SNOWMAN

Hey! Why don´t we build a snowman? First, remember to put up your hat, scarf, gloves, boots and coats, otherwise you won´t be able to touch the snow. It´s soooo cold!!!  

Now we have to make two snowballs: one big and one small. After that, it´s time to add the eyes, the mouth and the nose. What can we use for that? I know!!! Some stones or lumps of coal and a carrot! Don´t forget two sticks as arms. Take a look...

MY SNOWMAN

Do you fancy building a snowman? It´s easy-peasy! We only need two balls of snow: one big for the body and one small for its head. And then we have to decorate it with two eyes, a nose, a mouth, two arms and some accesories such as a hat, a scarf, buttons, ...  And meanwhile we can sing along!

One of my favourites winter activities is to play with snowflakes. It is so funny to try to catch them with your mouth... And there is a lovely song about them. Come on! Sing along!

WINTER IS BACK

Winter is back.... We can feel it in the air. It´s much colder and we must wear our scarves, wollies, boots and gloves. And it even snows in many places, but not where we live. What a pity! But winter has also got its charm. We can do lots of funny activities. Have a look...

MORE SNOWMEN

There are many short films about snowmen. In all of them there is always a child who makes one and then he becomes a good friend of him. They are really tender. Here are some examples. First it´s "Lily and the snowman". Then you can watch "The snowman" by Raimond Briggs. Finally the second part: "The snowman and the snowdog".Which one do you like like most? Enjoy!

I love snowmen, and you? I like making it with the snow and adding the complements: two stones for the eyes, a carrot as nose, 3 buttons, 2 sticks for the arms, a hat and a scarf. Learn this song and you will know how to make one.

Today we have had great fun playing with a snowflake. And we have also learned this beautiful song. I really like it!

WINTER IS HERE

A bit late, but winter is already here. You can notice it in the air: the trees have no leaves, it´s very cold and people walks well wrapped in their hats and scarves. But we can do many things during this season: we can play in the snow (not in Coruña, but near), make a snowman, go on a sledge, drink hot chocolate, ... Take a look...

MORE SNOW!!!

Snow, snow, snow everywhere!!! Today we made a fantastic snowman. We used bottons for the eyes, a leaf for the mouth, sticks for the arms and a carrot for the nose. It was brilliant!!!

WINTER IS HERE!!!

The magic of winter has arrived to our school. The winter fairy made the snow appeared and everything in our classroom turned completely white. So beautiful! As soon as we saw that, we put on our warmer clothes: a hat, a scarf, gloves, boots, an anorak and earmuffs.... and we were ready to play in the snow. We went skiing, we had a snowball fght, we rode a sledge and we draw an angel in the snow with our bodies. Lots of fun!!! Finally we had a delicious cup of hot chocolate. Yummy!!!

Oh! And we played with a snowflake. Listen...

JACK FROST

Today we have met Jack Frost, a funny spirit of the winter. He is the personification of frost, ice, snow and freezing cold weather. He is friendly and very naughty, because he loves playing with the snow. He leaves frosty patterns on our widows during the cold winter nights. Tomorrow, as soon as you wake up, go and see your window. Maybe Jack Frost visited you last night....
