Red hat, white beard, twinkle in his eyes... Don´t you know? A fat old man with a big tummy and a bell in his hand saying "Ho ho ho". SANTA is his name or Father Christmas!!! He lives in Lapland with his reindeers and his helpers, the elves. At this moment, he is very busy preparing the presents for all the kids around the world. But ... look!!! TO DO LIST

Christmas is nearly here and there are lots to do: decorate the Christmas tree, complete my wish list, write a letter to Santa, bake some Christmas cookies, learn a carol, ... Don´t panic!!! The first thing is to put up the Christmas tree with  bells, baubles, candy canes, tinsel, lights and a star on top. Did you know that in the UK many people prefer an angel or a fairy instead of a star? 
We can also practise some carols. Why don´t we start by singing "We wish you a merry Christmas? 

ADVENT CALENDAR

It´s the first of December, so we can start opening our advent calendar and discover a surprise every day. This is a good way to know how many days are left until Christmas. I cannot wait. But remember to open just one window a day. Don´t cheat!!!

AUTUMN IS HERE

Have you noticed it? It is cooler and windier, the days are much shorter and the animals collect food for the winter. Yes! We are in the autumn, one of my favourite seasons. Do you remember the autumnal colours? Can you explain what happens to the leaves in autumn? What foods can we eat during this season? UNDER THE SEA

Yesterday we went to the school concert hall to see a play in English: "Under the sea", by Face2Face Theatre Company. We met Milly the Mermaid and her friend Sam Seahorse. And we enjoyed with the funny adventures they experienced with their friends. We visited the Sea Queen, whose face was quite familiar, and we all escaped from a hungry shark!!! 

We must thank the ANPA Milnenos for giving us the chance to attend to such a fantastic show. We really appreciate it.

MORNING ROUTINES

Today Cookie didn´t remember his morning routines, I mean all the actions he has to do before coming to school. They are so easy, aren´t they? First, we have to get dressed, and then wash our face and comb our hair. Later it is time to have breakfast and brush our teeth. Then... Well, I think it will be better to remember them singing this song: "This is the way".

SCHOOL OBJECTS

It is time to prepare everything we need for school, in particular our classroom objects: pencils, rubbers, books, crayons, scissors, glue, plasticine, ... The list is endless!!!

EASTER EGG HUNT

Easter is here and we had fun at school participating in the egg hunt!!! The Easter Bunny left some eggs for us in our playground. We looked everywhere: under the trees, among the flowers, in the seesaw,... But we found them!!! Yummy, yummy!!!

SAINT PATRICK´S DAY

Ireland is a magic land, full of green shamrocks and mysterious creatures such as leprechauns, tiny men dressed in green, with red hair and a red beard, who make shoes for fairies. They also are said to keep a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow! A legend says that if you catch a leprechaun, he will give you his treasure. So... keep your eyes open, look for a 4-leaf-clover and try to find one. Good luck!!!

PANCAKE DAY

One of my favourite things about Carnival is pancakes. I love pancakes!!! Last Tuesday it was Pancake Day in England and people ate lots of them. Do you remember how to make them? It´s easy-peasy. You need flour, milk and eggs. You mix all these ingredients together and then you fry a pancake and... flip it in the air! This is the most difficult part, so I think it will be better if you watch it...

CARNIVAL TIME

Carnival is round the corner. It is time for costumes, masks, parties and fun. At school we are all going to be artists and painters, but I am sure that you will dress up as many other things out of school. Who will you be? There are hundreds of costumes to choose. You only need your imagination to be whoever you want. Take a look...

LITTLE SNOWFLAKE

It is very common to see some snowflakes in winter, although that is unusual in Coruña because of the sea. It is very funny to try to catch them with your hands or even with your tongue. Have you ever tried it? My favourite winter song talks about a little snowflake. It´s sooooo sweet... You can sing along with the normal version or the karaoke one, it´s up to you. And remember to do the actions at the same time. Ladies and gentlemen.... "Little snowflake".

WINTER

And all of a sudden... it´s winter time!!! The Winter Fairy is coming with snow, ice and freezing temperatures, so we need to wear our warm coats, wooly hats, scarves, gloves and boots. As you know, Cookie got a teddy bear for Christmas, but not an ordinary one, the famous Paddington Bear. Don´t you know who he is? Listen carefully...

Paddington Bear came to London from Peru, where he lived in the jungle. He was adopted by a family after reading the tag around his neck saying "Please look after this bear, thank you", and now he lives happily with them in beautiful house, although he always gets into trouble. He wears a blue duffle coat and a red hat, and he loves marmelade. Does it ring a bell? Take a look and see...
