THE LITTLE MATCH GIRL

Here you are a beautiful Christmas story: "The little match girl". It is a short film made by Disney and Pixar, based on the famous tale by Hans Christian Andersen. It takes place on New Year´s Eve, when a little girl tries to sell matches in the street. But nobody takes any notice of her, so she sits on the floor and lights several matches to warm herself. And something magical happens because she can see several lovely visions: a Christmas tree, Christmas food by a chimney and her granny.
This is one of my favourites stories despite being so sad. Enjoy it!

MESSAGE FROM FATHER CHRISTMAS

Just 10 days to Christmas Eve, the night when Father Christmas brings us lots of presents! I´m really nervous, especially after receiving this message. He says that he is very busy preparing all the toys with the elfes´ help, but they are only for the good kids. So listen carefully to what he says and remember: BE GOOD.

LET´S DECORATE THE XMAS TREE!

Today we have been decorating a Christmas tree at school. For that, we used baubles and candles and we put a star on top. We had a great time, didn´t we? Now it´s time for you to enjoy this video by Disney. Have a look at how Mickey Mouse and Pluto decorate theirs. But beware of the chipmunks! They are really naughty.

CHRISTMAS IS ROUND THE CORNER

Yes! It´s that time of the year again! Christmas is round the corner. You can feel it in the air. The first clue of the coming season is the 1st of December. And today is the 1st of December! It´s time to open our Advent Calendar and discover the surprises behind each stocking. So don´t forget to click on the different stockings but ... don´t cheat! You can only open one every day. Enjoy it!

RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY!

These days are especially wet. It is raining all the time! We can´t play in the park, we can´t walk in the woods, we can´t stay outside, we can´t ... So boring! However, at the same time, it is so funny to wear our wellies and splash in the puddles! But I think we all need a bit of sunshine, so ... why don´t we learn this song to see if the rain stops and goes away for a few days? Let´s try!

TOYS

Now it is time for toys. On this video you can hear the names of many toys, following the letters of the alphabet. Watch it and enjoy, but remember... "TOYS ARE US" (doesn´t it sound familiar?).

BONFIRE NIGHT

Autumn is here and the Autumn Fairy has lots to do. First,she has to change the colours of the trees from green into brown, yellow, orange and red. Then she has to sweep all the falling leaves and prepare everything in the wood to receive the rain, the wind and the cold temperatures. Besides, she tucks all the animals up in bed and wishes them "Sweet dreams". Finally, she protects the woods during the long winter. What a hard work! Do you want to help her? Another kind of fairies are the Wood Fairies. They live in the woods and take care of them: they clean the trees, sweep the leaves, feed the animals, decorate the woodland, ...  But have you ever thought about what the Wood Fairies do at night? Do you remember the Tooth Fairy? She is a fairy that gives a child money or gifts in exchange for a baby tooth that has fallen out. Children place the tooth under their pillow at night. The fairy is said to take the tooth from under the pillow and replace it with money once they have fallen asleep. She uses some fairy dust to help kids sleep. She also has got some helpers, fairies who clean the teeth to build the Tooth Fairy beautiful white palace. So remember: brush your teeth everyday!
